こんにちは！ジェームズと申します。アメリカのノースカロライナ州の出身です。日本に興味を持ったきっかけは、10代の頃に習い始めた空手でした。父が私の先生でした。高校を卒業し、日本に留学したいと心を決めて、青山学院大学の日本文学科に入学しました。
大学卒業後には韓国に住み、そのあと長野県に移り住みました。2011年にALTとして働き始めてから、長野県中の各地を渡り住んでいます。信州が本当に大好きなんです！それでも、まだ信州の冬の凍てつく寒さには慣れませんが。
自分自身が新しいことを学ぶことが本当に好きで、また、誰かが新しいスキルや知識を身に付けていく過程を見守ることにも喜びを感じます。教職に就こうと決めたのは、こういう理由からです。
趣味は幅広く、読書、外国語、麻雀、エクササイズ、ホラー映画、また、友達と会ったり、ウェブ開発をしたり、時々ゲームもします。
何らかの形で、皆さんがゴールを達成するためのスキルアップや知識を磨くお手伝いができたら幸いです。
Hi everyone! My name is James and I'm a native of North Carolina in the United States.
I become interested in Japan when I started learning Karate as a teenager. My father was my teacher.
When I graduated high school, I decided that I wanted to study in Japan, so I enrolled at Aoyama Gakuin to study Japanese literature.
After graduating, I moved to South Korean and then Nagano.
I have lived in many places around Nagano since 2011 working as an ALT. I absolutely love it here! But, I still can't get used to the freezing weather.
I love learning new things and find joy in watching others gain new skills and knowledge.
That's why I decided to become a teacher.
I enjoy reading, foreign languages, mahjong, exercise, seeing my friends, web-development, horror movies, and sometimes games.
I hope that in some way I can help you develop the skills and knowledge needed to help you accomplish your goals.
