芸術とアウトドアとコミュニケーション。好きと興味を仕事に。
私のフリスというのは苗字です。ほとんどの方からはニックネームとして「フリス」と呼ばれています。
イングランドの北西に位置するコーンウォール地方のトゥルーロという都市の出身です。コーンウォールは信じられないくらいに美しい場所です。世界遺産にもなっており海岸線がとても綺麗に見える場所や、趣のある漁村もあり、それを内陸の方に入っていくと美しい草原も広がっています。
この素晴らしい景色に刺激を受け、導かれるようにして芸術学校に進み、またアウトドアへも強い興味を持つようになりました。
これらの興味を人生にも活かしたく、中学校の芸術の先生とアウトドアインストラクターとして働き始めました。
2007年に来日し、その後も「教えること」と「アウトドアを楽しむこと」は続けていて、県内外のバイクレースやイベントにたくさん参加しています。
AtoZで様々なレベルや状況の生徒さんを指導させていただけることはこの上ない喜びです。コミュニケーションが本当に大好きなので、僕を見かけたら声をかけてくださいね。おしゃべりしましょう！
My name is David Howard Frith, but most people just know me by my nickname, which is also my family name, Frith.
I was born in the south west of England, in Truro, Cornwall.
As an artist I have always been inspired by this incredible landscape which lead me both to Art School and many outdoor pursuits.
I followed both of these by becoming both a junior high Art teacher and an outdoor instructor.
I came to Japan in 2007 and have continued with both my passions, teaching and enjoying the outdoors.
I’m super excited to teach all levels of learners in all manners of situations, I also partake in mountain bike races and events around Shinshu and other prefectures.
I love communicating, so if you see me please say hello and stop for a chat.
